Port City - Oktoberfest

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

I really like the label...

A completely unoffensive marzen. Its on the less sweet, less malty side. Slightly watery. You could probably drink a lot of these, if that's your thing (maybe even out of a gigantic boot).

Ehm. A mildly flavor marzen. Not bad, not great.

Weihenstephaner Festbier

Hmm. Not as good as the Ayinger earlier in the evening. It just has less flavor.

Ayinger - Oktober Fest-Marzen

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

Fairly light (compared to most beers I drink) and bubbly. Slight caramel taste. Really easy to drink. I guess I'd get it again if I was looking for an oktoberfest or marzen.

Victory - Festbier

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

This was pretty enjoyable marzen. Fairly standard flavor-wise.

Bonus Mandy Thoughts:
[Takes a sip.] [Takes another sip.] [Takes yet another sip.] I think Mikey likes it.
For a non-IPA I like it.

Not very malty. Pretty boozy. The Avery was a lot better.

Really caramely sweet. Too much so for my taste.

Bonus Mandy Thoughts:
I like this a lot more than a the beers you usually make me try.

Heavy Seas Marzen

From a sample pack:

Slightly sweet with a decent amount of maltiness in the back. I think I like the Brooklyn Summer Ale better though.

Great Divide Hoss

The bottle said "rye lager" but its actually a marzen. Is rye lager a marzen? Is marzen a rye lager? No clue. Either way, this doesn't really have any rye taste to it.

Its comparable to Brooklyn's Summer Ale. Its a pretty decent beer. Good enough session beer.
