Terrapin Moo Hoo Stout

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

Not as chocolatey as I was expecting from the name. In fact, not chocolatey at all. Slightly sweet. Eh.

Schmaltz & Terrapin - Reunion Ale 11

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

This went well with humus and cheese. I was expecting a stout, based on the addition of cocoa nibs, vanilla and chili pepper, but its more of a strong ale. Hints of the cocoa nibs are definitely present. Its mildly sweet. The chili pepper is undetectable, which is disappointing. I'd pass. Nothing remarkable.

De Proef & Terrapin - Monstre Rouge

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

Well, this isn't what I was expecting.

To start, its not really sour. Second, its a little bitter (for the style). Almost no aftertaste.

Not comparing it to a flemish red ale, I guess its okay. Its pretty malty a fruity, but has a fairly dry finish at the same time. I guess its okay.

Would not recommend, mainly due to the price.

Terrapin Monk's Revenge

From Joe Drinks Dinner and Stuff

More of a hoppy, bitter belgian ale, than a belgian influenced IPA.

Really sweet. Resembles a bitter triple. It's not really that good/balanced. Super sweet, clove, banana, etc. flavors and slightly bitter. I would not buy again.

Terrapin Gamma Ray

DSC03243

Interesting. Banana smell. Lots of alcohol. Pretty sweet. Like a wheat ale on steroids.

Terrapin Hopsecutioner

Another in the series of beers that Elwood may be able to purchase.

Not a terribly unique IPA. Not bad, not great. Certainly not as lively as the name.
