This was a nice change of pace from the other more recent stouts I've had. Possibly because there was no barrel aging involved.
It was pleasantly carbonated and didn't drink like motor oil. I think the hops come through a lot better on this than some others I've had recently. The coffee and chocolate flavors aren't as prominent.
I've been thinking of trying this one out, as I've heard some good things about it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot better than the Mikkeller Black Hole (non-barrel aged) that I had in the past week or two if you have to decide between the two.
